FISHTANK, n 1: a familiar strangeness navigated by uncommon instinct. 2: the world as we know it. v 1: losing yourself in order to find what you left behind. adj 1: one’s life currently on display, not having previously been subjected to examination.
In the spirit of Jacques Tati and/or Buster Keaton, the real-life characters of Jeune Lune have created, out of their own very particular imaginations, a playground in which life and all its odd complexities and startling revelations collide. At once poignant and hilarious, FISHTANK is a theatrical encounter born out of movement, music, images, comedy, poetry, things lost and things found, the future.

Suspecting her husband-to-be of betrayal
,
a fetching young heiress disguises herself as a knight to woo the hand
of the countess he desires. In this new adaptation of an 18th century
romp, Theatre de la Jeune Lune brings their incomparable wit and
physical exuberance to the perils of courtships in a deliciously nasty
game
of love, sex and power.

New “Anytime Rush” extends and expands student pricing
In an aggressive policy shift to help develop a next wave of theatre lovers, Jeune Lune has instituted “Under-25” prices of $9 for all shows this season. Under this new program, anyone under the age of 25 — student or not — can buy tickets in advance or at the door for about the price of a movie. The hope is that this kind of pricing will encourage younger audiences to more often include theater-going in their ever-expanding entertainment menu.
